With the recent price reductions in the 256GB micro SDXC cards, I can put a lot of my total files from both the older PC’s on my X86 Raspian drive, and then copy the files to my Rpi4/4GB. This allows me to have identical files at home and work and also to access the numerous Win7 files on the older drives.
